Maybe you’re curious about what’s out there, maybe you’re going through a layoff or maybe you know someone who is in job change mode.  When those inevitable days for a new job do show up, most B2B tech marketers start updating their LinkedIn profiles, networking, and then they hit the big job sites like Monster, Indeed, Dice, Career Builder, and LinkedIn.

All those are great, but with the unemployment rate at 3.7% this past July, there are more jobs out there than ever as well as a slew of new and niche job sites that B2B tech marketers should know.  This short blog is all about highlighting some lesser known, yet valuable, resources that might not be on your radar.

VirtualVocations

VirtualVocations is all telecommute jobs and I couldn’t believe how many great sounding virtual jobs exist. I think a tight job market makes remote jobs much more common and this site has hundreds of Manager, Director, and even VP level jobs that don’t require a commute to the office.  I shared this site with a friend last year, and she recently landed a new Sr. Analyst position at Gartner that was posted on VirtualVocations.

ZipRecruiter

ZipRecruiter is probably the most well-known on this list and an aggregator of job boards like many others.  But ZipRecruiter makes my list for their customizable search agents, good presentation of results, nice app and having a huge array of B2B marketing jobs. They send text notifications of especially good job matches, share salary estimates, and have the #1 rated job search app (according to them at least).

Luke’s Circle

Luke’s Circle focuses on two geographic areas, San Francisco – Bay Area & Denver-Boulder, and is the only one on this list without a heavy tech focus.  It started as an email group and grew into the founder’s full-time job. There are some tech marketing jobs, but I mainly recommend this site for anyone interested in marketing roles outside of tech, such as outdoor gear, natural food/products, cleantech, nonprofits, and cannabis.

Cablefax

Cablefax is niche to Cable & Media, but if you know what SCTE, NAB, or DOCSIS stands for, then this is a good site where you can leverage that knowledge.

Andrew Hudson’s Job List

If you are located in Colorado or looking to move there Andrew Hudson’s job list is one you should consider.  It’s heavy on jobs within the public sector & non-profit industries, but also hipster companies like Core Power Yoga & Google.  The site includes helpful content on interviewing and working in the gig economy, plus they conduct a regular job seeker workshop.

Kimble Group

Kimble Group is a site with primarily Fortune 500 jobs, but also has many marketing roles with smaller firms across the U.S.  They have a simple objective to offer straight forward solutions to career placement by delivering the most targeted opportunities to candidates the moment they become available.

Nexxt

Nexxt manages hundreds of very targeted job sites that cover very specific geographies (e.g. austinjobsite.com), verticals (e.g. marketingjobforce.com), and diversity (e.g. diversityworkers.com).  Their SmartMatch feature refines the search criteria based on jobs you click.

Aventi Group

And finally, my firm Aventi Group is always looking for top B2B marketing talent to help staff our projects with some of the best enterprise tech firms in the industry. If you’d like to be on our bench, please contact us here.

Do you have any hidden job site gems to add?  Post a comment and let me know what should be added to this list.
