Introducing IA (Inside Aventi) - our NEW GTM Intelligence Layer

Announcement:

Aventi Group Welcomes Carter Kersh as Partner

Veteran technology marketing executive brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across AWS, Lenovo, Darktrace, Juniper Networks and Nortel as Aventi expands its go-to-market capabilities.

The gap between adoption and readiness matters.

Aventi Group is pleased to announce that Carter Kersh has joined as Partner, bringing more than two decades of marketing leadership experience across some of the world’s most recognized technology companies.

Carter joins Aventi at an important point in the firm’s evolution as it continues to expand beyond its product marketing roots to help B2B technology companies solve broader go-to-market challenges. His experience leading teams and initiatives across product marketing, demand generation, field and partner marketing, brand and advertising, campaigns, and customer insights brings an operator’s perspective to Aventi’s growing portfolio of GTM services.

“Carter understands marketing from virtually every angle, but what really sets him apart is his ability to connect those pieces back to the business,” said Jeff Thompson, President and Co-Founder of Aventi Group. “He knows how to get underneath a challenge, determine what will actually move the needle, and bring the right people and capabilities together to make it happen. That combination of strategic thinking and hands-on operating experience is exactly what our clients are looking for, and we’re incredibly excited to have him join Aventi as a Partner.”

Throughout his career, Carter has held marketing leadership roles at Nortel, Juniper Networks, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Lenovo and Darktrace, giving him experience operating across organizations at different stages of growth and transformation. His work has spanned demand generation and campaigns, go-to-market strategy, messaging and positioning, field and partner marketing, and broader marketing strategy.

His industry experience includes high tech, communications, education, manufacturing and the public sector, with particular depth in AI, cybersecurity, networking, data and analytics, and hardware.

For Carter, joining Aventi reflects both the changing needs of marketing organizations and his belief that companies increasingly need partners capable of working across traditional functional boundaries.

“Marketing teams are being asked to do more than ever, while simultaneously navigating enormous changes in technology, AI, buyer behavior and how teams operate,” said Carter Kersh, Partner at Aventi Group. “The answer isn’t simply adding more activity. It’s getting clear about what matters, eliminating what doesn’t, and bringing the right strategy, expertise and execution together around the outcomes that matter to the business. That’s what attracted me to Aventi and what I’m excited to help our clients do.”

Carter’s appointment also supports Aventi’s continued evolution as a go-to-market partner for B2B technology companies. Building on more than 15 years of product marketing expertise, Aventi today works across the GTM organization, helping companies address challenges spanning positioning and messaging, go-to-market strategy, product marketing, demand and performance marketing, marketing operations, content and creative, and embedded marketing expertise.

“As our clients’ challenges have evolved, Aventi has evolved with them,” added Thompson. “Companies don’t experience their biggest growth challenges neatly within the boundaries of one marketing function. Carter has spent his career working across those boundaries, which makes him a natural fit for where Aventi is headed.”

Carter earned his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and is based in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, trail running, storytelling, public speaking and, in his words, cooking incredibly unhealthy foods. He also speaks Italian — albeit poorly.
